Scheduling time to get a trade show exhibit is always a challenge, but never more so than when your show starts right after a holiday.
Failing to understand local work rules that relate to holiday pay can quickly push your installation costs into the stratosphere.
Most facilities (particularly those with union contracts) may have to pay their labor as much as twice the hourly rate of part or all of your exhibit installation falls on a holiday.
If you give them enough advance notice and use your best negotiation skills, you may be able to avoid some of these costs and get the necessary work done at standard hourly rates.
