Trade show booths suffer a lot of wear and tear in transit, and it is not unusual for something to be damaged before the show is opened.

Lots of trade shows prevent painting of any sort on the show floor, and even if painting is possible, you may find yourself dealing with lots of union rules that can add dramatically to the cost of a simple touch up.
