Taping Down Carpet? Try This Simple Trick

Double faced carpet tape has a vinyl liner applied to one side so that the tape won’t stick to itself so that you can’t get it off the roll.

When using this tape, you should tear it instead of cutting with a knife or scissors.  The tearing crates a ragged edge on the liner which is much easier to grab and peel away than the edge that is created when the tape is cut.
